Dyslexia Testing

Dyslexia/SLD Testing is usually administered over one 4-6 hour session. During the assessment Kristen administers three different tests: the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, the Kaufman Test of Educational Achievement, and the Comprehensive Test of Phonological Processing. The WISC is an intelligence test that measures a child’s intellectual ability and 5 cognitive domains that impact performance.

The KTEA is an individually administered battery of tests that provide in-depth assessment and evaluation of key academic skills. The CTOPP helps evaluate phonological processing abilities as a prerequisite to reading fluency. This combination of tests provide parents with a thorough, professional assessment that allows them to fully understand their child’s needs. Results are documented in a written report and include helpful graphics that further one’s understanding of the results. Parents can then confidently make the best educational decisions for their students.
